Oh the talent that BYU has!
Last Friday was my first ward activity! Originally I wasn't going to be able to go, because my choir class was having a retreat that was right in the middle of it, but that got switched to this week (yay), so I was able to go. It was a really fun activity though. We had a talent show, which is a typical sounding activity, haha, but all the acts were really good! I was actually somewhat disappointed that there weren't any American Idolesque performances..But oh well!!
Some of the girls in my FHE group put together a little skit, where they dressed up as guys and tried out their "best" pick up lines on someone from the audience. It was actually really entertaining!

My lovely roommate Shalece has an excellent voice! She sang the funniest song called 15 pounds. She pretty much rocked it up!!
Everybody likes a good quartet right? Well, there were four boys in my ward that put together a little group and sang White Christmas. By far my FAVORITE performance of the night! Two of the guys actually had okay voices..but one of the guys..totally tone deaf, and he knew it! I was cracking up, as was the rest of the crowd. I decided that I'd humor you all, and post it on here. Unfortunately, I couldn't get it to work. If I'm ever with any of you though, I'll be sure to have you watch it!
There were a lot of really great acts during the night, and the last act was my Bishop singing "Home, Home on the Range." He's not exactly the next American Idol, but it was fun :) I definitely have a very talented ward though! I'm sure we'll be having another talent show sometime!

Kooking with Katie
I can spell. I promise. But around my apartment, there's an exciting time, every once in awhile, called Kooking with Katie. Why not spell it correct, you may ask? Well, because it looks so much cooler and "legit" like this. Anyways, as I'm sure most know, I love to cook. And apparently some of my roommates like this as well. Which has implemented Kooking with Katie...So far, there has only been two sessions, but boy, it's been fun! Last Thursday was the first time..
I decided I want to make lasagne. Not just any lasagne, but the best lasagne ever. It's my mom's recipe. I'm definitely going to post it on my cooking blog sometime. My friend Cortney was over, and she said she doesn't like lasagne usually..but this was the exception. Kudos to you mom for having the best recipe ever! I have yet to find a restaurant to make one as good as hers :)
Anyways, Christie and Lindsay helped to make the garlic knots. (Okay, Lindsay just tied a couple of knots, but you know, it really helped out). Garlic Knots are, basically, the best side bread dish..oh EVER. They are so simple, but so delicious. I posted them on my recipe blog awhile back, if you want the recipe.
Honestly, have you ever seen so much enthusiasm with spraying a pan with cooking spray? I really don't think I have.

You know how those cans of pillsbury dough, and how you have to pull at just the exactly correct place to get it to open? Well this was one of those situations where that tab was not opened at the right place. I don't blame you Christie..It's happened to me plenty of times. This can would NOT open though! We had to resort to getting a knife to chop it open. Even with workers hands, she couldn't get it....hahaha just kidding Christie :)

Tying the knots. Precious.

I was so proud!!!
I credit Christie for making the knots turn out so delicious. She basically did everything! And they were pretty much a big hit for the night (they were gone within minutes...or so)

Dessert is the best part of any meal. There's really no question about that. So when I was contemplating what I should make, I came across this box of brownies that Cindy and AJ so kindly gave me last time I was visiting them. They looked kind of weird when they were done baking..I think I used too big of a pan, so I decided they needed frosting. I was too lazy to walk to the Creamery and get frosting, so I made some! It tasted good, but it looked weird on the brownies..and since presentation is like way important to me (haha yeah, I'm a nerd), I drizzled chocolate on top. FINALLY, they looked pretty incredibly delicious. Everyone that ate them apparently thought they were amazing...I thought they tasted just like normal brownies from a box..but hey, I didn't tell them I didn't make them homemade ;-)
Lasagne is one of those foods that you have to make for a crowd, not just for yourself. So, I invited Daniel, Jared, Cortney, Rachael, my roommates, Lindsay's friend Joe, and this guy Steve over for dinner (No, I don't like that Steve guy, him and Jared are like BFF or something and he wanted to see him...weird, i know..haha). it was really fun! This picture had to be posted, just because both Andrea and Jared's faces are priceless. I tend to be very good at capturing everyones true personalities on camera.

Daniel babysat Rachael when she was younger. This picture has been pinned the "babysitter" picture. The end.
Fun night! I love cooking! I love my friends! and I love...umm...pictures!! yay!
So it's 1:59...I think two blogs was enough for today (be sure to read the previous two blogs before this..they are both fairly new, and I'd hate for them not to get the attention they deserve)
So with that.
Until Next time.

FHE...Horne 52 Style
In my ward, the ratio is 2:1. And yes, it kind of stinks. Especially because some Heritage buildings is 1:2...as in 1 girl to every 2 guys. I mean seriously, at least even it out so the wards are 1:1..Oh well. So anyways, my family home evening group has my apartment (of course), one room from Harris hall, and then a guy room from Broadbent. At first, I was a little bit..tiffed, that could be the word, because there was like a million girls, and then 2 of the guys were under 18, and one was an RM. Quite the diverse group. I'm actually really liking the group now though, most everyone is pretty great!! Last Monday, my apartment was in charge of the activity. Now, I'm not gonna lie, I wasn't here during the initial planning for our epic activity, but I'll just pretend like it was my idea. Just kidding, I think it was Shalece! She's always full of good ideas But take a look at these pictures. You will be amazed and probably think "Wow, I wish I was part of their group". Maybe someday.

Okay, you might be thinking "ew, nasty. They are so weird." And well, you might be correct. But hey, it was fun. We decided to play a rousing game of "Would you Rather". For those of you who are unfamiliar with this game, you are basically asked two different scenarios (they can be funny, gross, serious, etc..they just have to present a difficult choice), and you have to pick one. The way we played, everyone was put into groups of three, and if you and your group mates didn't pick the same answer, you had to blindly choose one of these umm...concoctions :-D There were some normal ones, like kool aid and banana shake..but there were also some not so good ones. Such as, horse radish (i think) with yogurt...baby food..beats..and best of all, vienna sausage, pureed style (that's the first picture I put up here..hehe). I was so happy, cuz two of the three times I had to do it, I got kool aid and the banana shake..the only "bad" one I had was the pureed beats, which just was really spicy and kind of made me feel kind of sick afterward. I sure felt bad for some of the others who got the nasty concoctions..sure was funny to watch them drink em ;-) It was a really fun activity though! We had a great lesson by one of the girls from Harris, and then the guys made some brownies. They were great! And now, for the pictures. Drum Rolllll......

It's like they thought that linking arms would give them some sort of special power to discern eachothers thoughts. I'm pretty sure it didn't work. Well, probably once or twice. But not every time! haha, the guy in the middle, Taylor (i think) isn't even in our group..He's the Bishop's son. But it's okay. We adopted him for the night. He was lucky.
I think this was my kool-aid. It was pretty good! Me and my group were actually pretty good! (Except when Tim totally missed a question that was pretty obvious what me and Kelly picked, yet he didn't pick it to uphold is manly image!)

Kenzie probably had my favorite reaction to the drinks of anyone that night.
Lindsay was taking awhile to contemplate the question....Would she match up with the other two?
Moment of Truth.....NOPE! She picked the second choice (I believe I agreed with her choice actually)
And here is the consequence.

Fun Fun Night! I can't wait for the awesomly great FHE activities which are to come :) I'd probably have to say we got the best group in BYU 13th Ward!

I should probably marry a dentist
So I have several blogs I need to put up..I'll be posting more tomorrow, but I'm tired, and I started this one a few days ago..alright, you may continue now!
Yes, this is yet ANOTHER post about my dental issues. So, as some of you probably remember, right before I left for Utah, I thought all my problems with my stupid tooth were over..Oh..they should have been. But no, last night, when i was eating ONE (I swear, just one) chocolate chip, my whole bridge fell off! My dentist told me that the temporary cement would keep it in place until November when they could permanently cement it in. Yeah, they were wrong. I should have known not to trust a dentist other than my own (When I had to get it put in, my wonderful regular dentist, Dr. Oldershaw, was in Europe). Well, this morning I called around until I found a dentist office that could get me in...I could not wait til next week like most of the places were wanting me too! The whole back of my mouth was so sensitive, I couldn't even brush my teeth. And I'm a tad bit obsessive about brushing my teeth! Anyways, Daniel took me (is he not the best big brother ever?), and I got it put back in. Let me say, this was honestly the most painful dental experience of my LIFE. I'm not even kidding. They did not numb me at all, and when they were doing the water spraying stuff, I honestly almost started crying. I don't think I have ever experienced pain like that before. And then he was all tapping arounf with his metal pick thing...I am so grateful for anithestics, and I will never again go the dentist without insisting they make me good and numb. Agh....So I keep saying that I hope that this is the last dental issue I have this tooth, but that doesn't seem to work so...I hope this isn't the end! Oh, and my blog title? I figure that I will never get this problem solved, so I might as well find myself a dentist to marry..ya know, keep the costs low!
Anyways, I have a few updates to do...I'll start with the football game. We played UCLA, and supposedly, we weren't supposed to do so hot against them. Well....Take a look at the final score :-P 59-0 baby!
Here's some pictures from the game! I went with my roommates, and then also sat with my friends, Rachael and Cortney.
Every year BYU has a five dollar t-shirt they sell, and pretty much everyone buys it. I just put the picture of me wearing it as my main picture on my blog, so check it out if you haven't seen it already!
Before the game, there was a tailgater at the Hinckley Building. That building is SO beautiful. It's huge! The party was held in the backyard of it. There was free pizza, root beer floats, and entertainment. There were some rocking bands/a Capella groups..haha. They both sang the same song though. It felt a bit repetitive. I went with Andrea, Christie, Lindsay, and Taylor..It was way fun :)

After the tailgater, we walked back to our apartment so Lindsay and Christie could put on some shorts, because man...it was HOT outside. Honestly, I can't wait for it to start cooling down. My theory is, cold weather is the best, because you can always get warmer, with like a blanket, a fire, a hoodie..lots of things. But when your hot, there's very little you can do about it. It's quite the unfortunate situation. Anyways, we then headed to the game.

My brother Daniel was there too, he actually had seats pretty close to us! That was cool!
This was like the funnest game! I definitely damage my voice during it :-P Which became quite apparent at Church the next day when I couldn't sing past the middle line during songs..hehe. It was worth it though! I had so much fun with all of my friends..I'm glad I got an all sports pass! BYU completely pulverized UCLA, as I mentioned earlier. It was the worst UCLA had been beat since like 1929 or something like that! Quite the accomplishments...I don't feel like writing captions for all these pictures though, so I'll let you use your imagination about what was going on, and try and think of a caption that might be as witty as something I would put (difficult, I know.)

Oh, I forgot to mention that before the game earlier that day, my brother Daniel came over for breakfast! He made some delicious breakfast burritos, and I made some orange rolls coughtookthemoutoffacontainercough. It was really yummy!!
After the game, Me, Cortney, and Rachael went out to dinner at Subway! I just love hanging out with them....We always have SO much fun together! Afterwards we walked around campus for awhile. Awhile later, we went to the BYUSA sponsored "BYU Freshman Facebook Group Party". Ha ha. So there was this group made on facebook, BYU Freshman 08-09, and it got pretty big, a party was planned, BYUSA took over, and yeah. It was fun. The music wasn't the greatest selection, but they played So Close from Enchanted, which is like the best song ever, so it's all good. I was slightly disappointed because my great dance posse (aka my roommates) could not make it to this dance..but the next one, they'd better be there ;-) haha It was funny, during that song, I was dancing with some kid and i was like "oh man, this is my favorite song. I feel like I should be doing the waltz though. Even though I don't know how." For some reason, that qued him to spin me like 4 times. It was funny.
Me and some friends at the dance! Woo hoo!!

I love these two girls :) They are so much fun and we get along really well!!
We took like 15 pictures. This is the only one that was really very good. Though Cortney's eyes are closed..but it was a necessary measure i had to take (because i thought i looked good in this one..hehe)

After the dance, we wanted to go to Wendy's. We got there right at 11, and people were walking in still..but no, the door closed right as we were about to go in, and no one was nice enough to let us in...it was quite the let down
We settled on Baskin Robbins inside. Oh my gosh, this place is totally legitimate (I will be writing about this crazy utah trend of saying everything is "legit" in a later blog. It will be. so. so. special). The ice cream I got, apple pie a la Mode, was probably the best ice cream ever. It was like an apple pie. with ice cream. all in one. I pretty much just wanted to buy all of it. But i resisted. That many calories would totally not be cool.

There is no reason for me to post this picture. I just thought I looked beautiful. haha, just kidding. I did like the picture though!
They are like seriously the poster children for Baskin Robbins. No kidding. Okay, maybe I am kidding. But anyways..fun night..be sure to tune in tomorrow for some totally amazing blogs. you don't want to miss out!

Funny how it works out!
You know how in my last post I said something a long the lines of "I might be going to bed earlier tonight than I have every other night this week?"
Well, I lied.
I ended up going to bed at about 3:30...which, with it being Saturday, would normally be okay if I was going to be able to sleep in.
But I had to get up at 8:30.
I'm smart, aren't I?
Surprisingly, I'm not tired!
haha.
I'll wait till later in the afternoon for this to hit me.
On the bright side, today is the BYU versus UCLA game. Woo hoo!! It's gonna be a good game :)

Whatchamacallit!
A few days ago, as I was buying a few things from the Creamery Grocery store, and upon checkin out, I glanced over at the candy bar section. Now, I don't normally buy candy bars, but today, a particular candy bar caught my eye. Back my freshman year of high school, I discovered a new found love for Whatchamacallits. I'm not sure why, but I thought thy were the best thing ever. However, one day, I came to find out that my school no longer put them in the vending machines! So I went to King Soopers a few days later..and guess what? They didnt have them anymore either! Over the next four years, I would never see these candy bars again, and I pretty much believed they were discontinued. Talk about a sad four years. Now fast forward to the scenario I was talking about earlier. Can you guess what candy bar I saw?? Yep...a Whatchamcallit! And they were on sale...So i bought three. No, I didn't them all right then. I actually have 2 left. But I was SO excited, I couldn't pass up an opprotunity like this. Who knows when they will go in extinction again!
Not much has been going on lately...Just classes! I still really like all my classes..except for Biology. I mean, the teacher is really fun and nice, but I absolutely loathe the subject, and the class is an 1 1/2 long...so its like double the torture of just one regular block of class! I have to say, I really love having LDS professors! I've said that before, but yesterday just kind of reaffirmed that in me. In my Communications class, which is SO much fun and really makes me want to major in Communications, my teacher had this all section about the "spiritual application" that we can get from communications. He played us a song, Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing, which I really like, and like, the Spirit was so strong! He described the Communication process to us, first in the sense of media, or just plain old conversation (via voice, text, phone, email, etc.), but then he applied it to prayer, and it was cool how it all kind of fell together! I'm really looking forward to that class though. I really like my Book of Mormon class. My teacher, Brother Hedges, is really knowledgable. This is his first semester teaching Book of Mormon, but has taught Church History classes for a long time. Instead of just starting right into the Book of Mormon, he decided to devote the first few class periods to talking about the coming forth of the Book of Mormon. I really thought I knew a lot about Joseph Smith obtaining and translating the plates, but I have already learned quite a bit. Like, I knew that there were large plates/small plates, but I didn't realize which parts were used in the Book of Mormon we read today, what each of the plates contained, etc. There were so man miracles that happened during the translation of the Book of Mormon, and my testimony of it has already grown through this class. Professor Hedges talked about how Joseph Smith used a "seer stone" to translate a majority of the Book of Mormon, and how a lot of people have trouble accepting this, more so than accepting him using the Urhim and Thummum. I mean, that would make sense..I mean, how could something as simple and common as a rock help translate such a holy book? Especially because Joseph had found it back in 1822, while digging a well, and felt impressioned to keep it. That was even before he had the first initial vision of the Book of Mormon. However, while Professor Hedges was talking about this, the scripture Alma 37:6 came to mind. It says “Now ye may suppose that this is foolishness in me; but behold I say unto you, that by small and simple things are great things brought to pass; and small means in many instances both confound the wise”. I think that scripture really emphasizes that miraculous things can be done by the most simple mean. That can be applied to Joseph Smith as well..I mean, he was uneducated and worked on a farm, yet he brought the Gospel into this dispensation..It's so cool!
Today I saw a police officer pull a girl over...who was riding her bike..on campus. It was funny.
I don't really have anything else momentious or exciting to talk about. It's a Friday Night. 9:36. And what am I doing? Absolutely nothing. I think I may be going to bed earlier tonight than I haveany other day this whole time I've been here. Is that pathetic or what? I need more friends.

Procrastination: Plaging Students since 287 BC
Alright, I don't really know if 287 BC is even a significant date at all, but I'm sure that procrastination has been around for at least that long. When I was in high school, I would always leave my projects til the last minute. Except for this really big research paper, and a few other random projects, but thats another story. Anyways, I would always intend to start on them earlier, but other, more exciting things would come up (like sleeping, hanging out, etc.), and I would find myself with a big project the night before its due barely touched. Each time this happened, I vowed it would be the last time. Was it? Nope. Never. Fortunately for me, I work best under pressure, and I don't recall ever getting less than A on most, if not all, those projects. Well, when I started college, I made a goal that I would do all my homework right when I was done with class. Luckily, I have had very litte homework so far. And guess what, for the most part, the homework i have had, has been done in a reasonable fashion. However, in Biology, we were assigned to read 5 chapters of a book over the course of a day. Easy, right? Well, last night I went to open my book, and I skip to the end of the fifth chapter to see how much I would have to read, and it was 75 pages! And this wasn't 75 pages of Dr. Seuss size print. It was tiny..and on big pages. So I go to start this last night...I can't get past the first page. Like honestly, I tried. Really hard. but I could not concentrate. And this wasn't even a procrastinted assignment! It has kind of inspired me not to procrastinate. Will this happen? Not likely. But its nice goal to have!
Yesterday was a grand day. We had regional conference, which was a stake conference for about 120 stakes in this area. Being broadcast from the Marriott Center, I had the privilege of actually attending the meeting in person, which was a somewhat new because I am used to seeing/hearing conferences like this via satelite, and to actually be there was an amazing experience! This was SUCH a good conference. There were three speakers, Sister Dibbs (President Monson's daughter), and two apostles, President Boyd K. Packer and President Dieter F Uchtdorf. It was SO cool to be able to hear them speak. Me, Andrea, and Shalece (my other roommates were back home for the weekend) left for the conference at about 9:30, thinking that would be early enough to get good seats. Boy, were we deceived!! We ended up sitting in the bleachers behind the speakers. Nonetheless, just being in the presence of such amazing leaders of the Church was so cool. There was such a great spirit there! I really enjoyed listening to the speakers, despite the pain in my back from sitting on a bleacher for two hours. I loved all the messages that were said, and I really feel strengthened coming away from the meeting.
After Church, we went back to the apartment for awhile, just to relax. Around 1:30,our FHE sisters came over and invited us over for dinner. It was so nice! At about 3, we went over there and had a really delicious meal, complete with rice, chinese salad, pistacio salad, and spring rolls, and a delicious dessert! We hung out there for awhile, and then had to leave at 4:30 for the devotional, where Jeffrey Holland was speaking at six.
You might be wondering, why did you leave at 4:30 for something that started at 6? Well, for one thing, we did NOT want to end up with bleacher seats again. Fortunately for us, we have a wonderful friend, Taylor, who went at four and reserved some seats for us, but I guess he could only hold them til 4:45. Boy, were they great seats! Three rows from the front! Even though we just sat around for and hour and a half, it was worth it to be SO close. I have a few notes from the talk that I want to share(I wish I had more paper than just the back of a flyer I had in my purse..I'll definitely be printin this talk off!), but I'm gonna post some pictures first :)

Me and Andrea waiting for the devotional to begin!

Taylor and Shalece! This is the nice guy that got there so early to save us seats. He definitely is one of our apartments favorite people!!

One of BYU's choirs that sang some of the songs that night. They were so beautiful! I am in a non-audition choir, The University Chorale, and we will be singing at a devotional in December! I can't wait :-D
So this is kind of blurry, but here is Jeffrey R. Holland. :)
Elder Holland's talk was basically about how we will all be in Spiritual Liberty Jails at times. He really put a lot of emphasis on how sometime the righteous will receive a lot of trials and life, even if they are doing everything they should, but it's not because we're being punished, but because we need them in order to grow. I think my favorite thing he said was "If you're having a bad day, your in good company." I mean really...at some time or another, all of us have/will think "why me? I'm the only one that has to go through something like this"? I know I have definitely felt like this many a time...but the point of what he was saying is that...even if we are having a bad day, pretty much everyone out there can relate. We just need to remember that the Lord will always be there, and all we have to do is ask with all sincerity of our heart (easier said than done, right?), and He will help us. I really liked when he said something along the lines of, whenever we weap, He and the angels of heaven weap with us. Throughout his talk he outlined three lessons that we can learn from Joseph Smith's stay in Liberty Jail. I really liked them, so I'm gonna write them here..Maybe someone out there will like them as well :)
1)Everybody, especially the righteous, will experience trying times
2)Just because hard, unfair, or unjust things may happen, it does not mean we are unrighteous
3)No power is greater than God's. Rights of the priesthood are inseparably connected with the powers of Heaven.
He took about 15 miutes on each of these points, and really emphasized the truths of them. I do believe that the righteous are sometimes tried more than others, just because we are doing whatsright, and bringing forth the Gospel to the world, and Satan wants to stop us anywhe can, and when he can't do it with things like immorality, drinking, etc., he tries to make things go wrong for us, in attempts of lowering our opinion of ourselves, and maybe even try to get us to question if God really cares about us. Or at least, thats what I think :) Anyways, this was such an amazing fireside with such a great spirit at it, and I'm very happy I was able to attend it!
Sunday was a really great day :)
On Monday I just went to classes..Honestly, I LOVE having LDS teachers. They incorporate the Gospel into our lessons, and I think it is really cool how the Gospel really correlates with so many educational subjects. Suprisingly, I really love my English class. My teacher is really young and a graduate student, and is so much fun. All of our assignments are way fun, and I love her teaching style. We are currently working on editorial writing right now, and I think it is so much fun! I am also really enjoying my choir class. I was too chicken to try out for an audition choir, but for a choir that anyone can join, regardless of talent...I think it's gonna be graet. I mean, I think it already sounds better than Concert Choir back home! :-D We also had family home evening, and it was pretty fun. My group seems pretty interesting. We played a charades and had cake! Woo hoo. I have sme pictures, but I don't feel like uploading them :-P maybe later!
Well, my lunch is about over (I'm eating in the wilk, and just had the nastiest thing ever..don't eat he Bacon, Brocoli, Chicken calzone with alfredo sauce!!), so I guess I"ll draw this to a close :-) Thanks for reading!

Oh your cute!...I mean, I love your wedding ring...
You know, as I'm walking around campus, or when I'm in class, I tend to scope out the area. And I tend to notice everyone around me. Including the plethora of attractive guys. Coming from a town where the male LDS population is quite sparse (at least in my ward), I find it rather exciting to be at a place where, despite contrary belief, has more boys than girls (by like 1 or 2 percent), and honestly, a mass majority of which are quite the lookers. However, it seems like every time I'm walking and spot out my future husband, I glance down at his hand, and yep..He's got a wedding ring, or another girl attached to it. Where do I find the guys who aren't attached?!
So..I'm kind of behind on my blogs, I have another one after this that i just posted, so be sure to read it! I figured this blog will basically be my history of my college days, so I might as well update it often...just so I remember every singl detail! lol
Wednesday I had four classes...Sociology, University Chorale, English and Biology. I stared at 10 and didn't end til 4:30..woo hoo. I actually really enjoyed all my classes, right down to Biology, eve though I absolutely despise science. The teacher is way fun. I definitely think I will like my classes a lot this year! University Chorale seems like it is going to be so amazing...we just got right into singing, and we already sound good! My english class seems pretty fun...and I am SO glad I took CCB in high school, because I can already tell I have been prepared for what a college english class is (who knows.maybe this will be EASIER!). That's about it for my classes on Wednesday...but lets see..After class I came home, and about 30 minutes later Daniel and Jared came over for dinner! My wonderful brother made Chimichangas, which is like my favorite thing in the world, so it was really nice of him to do that! Afterwards, we had a bit of the left over cake from the night before, and it tasted pretty good still. Then after dinner, me, daniel, andrea, and jared hung around and and talked for awhile...fun stuff!!
Thursday i had all the same classes as tuesday, except I was going to have a communications class at 4-6:30..luckily, it didn't go that long, but seriously, I think I am going to LOVE this class! The teacher seems so fun, and all the projects that he told us about are gonna be great. We have to create an internet magazine, and our grade is based off of how many subscribers we get...So i'll be enlisting the help of all of YOU :) It'll be free..Don't worry.
For the rest of Thursday...I did abolutely nothing worth mentioning.
Friday..classes were fun. I didn't have my Biology class (only monday and wednesday), so i was out by 2..Me and Daniel went and got parking passes for Heritage halls...I made some my Cindy's delicious banana bread...best recipe EVER!!! There was a dance in Heritage, so me and 3 of my roommies went. Some of the music kind of stunk(I mean..they played the concert edition of Unanswered Prayers by Garth Brooks..Love the song, but seriously..you can't dance to it!), but it was defintely fun. There were definitely some interesting encounters...especially for Christie..hahaa. After the dance we came back to our apartment and talked and laughed until like 1:30 in the morning (thats the curfew for guys on the weekend, so the guy that was hanging out with us had to leave, which kind of made us all dispearse from the kitchen). And then..I went to bed, bringing me to the point I am at right now.
THE END!

Beginnings of school!
Tuesday was my first day of school. Luckily, I only had two classes, and the earliest one started at...2PM! Wonderful, right? I basically sat around the apartment and did nothing worth noting until about one o clock, when I decided to go to the Wilk and see if the manual for my Book of Mormon class had come in..Guess what? It didn't. So I walked around the Wilk for awhile, until about 1:30 when I decided to look for my first class. It's a good thing I left early, because I got lost! I guess I was holding the map the wrong way or something, because I definitely ended up on the complete opposite side of campus I was looking for. I looked like a typical freshman walking around with their nose in the map...haha, but what can I say, this campus is much huger than any school I've been too! Anyways, I eventually made it to my first class, which was Book of Mormon. I think I'll really enjoy the class. The teacher seems to be quite knowledgable, and he appears to be a very fair teacher. It was funny though, for about 1/3 of the class, he thought he was teaching the RM Book of Mormon class...he kept making references to the missions we had been on, and everyone just looked around scared, thinking they had signed up for the wrong class. Finally, I raised my hand and was like "I"m pretty sure none of us in here are Returned Missionaries...", andhe look all shocked, and everyone started laughing..haha. It was funny. After BoM class, I went over to Dance Aerobic. I am SO excited for this class! In addition to the two hour long class periods of working out we have each week, we are required to work out at least 20 minutes a day, 3 other times in the week! That'll be great! The teacher is a recently returned missionary, she served in Brazil, and she seems so nice! I can't wait for this class.
After my classes, I met up with Cortney, and then me, her, an Andrea went to the Creamery to buy stuff for the dinner we were having that night. We had invited some guys over from Kimball Hall to have "breakfast" for dinner! One of the guys, Steve, volunteered to make French Toast! I made my favorite cake in the world, and it turned out to be a success...Here's some pictures!!

This is my kitchen. Isn't it pretty? lol. Don't be deceived, there is not as much cupboard space as there appears. Each room gets one cupboard for their food..haha, me and Andrea's is packed!

Here is my lovey roommate Andrea! She was a good watcher as me and Cortney (well...mainly me, except cortney measuring some water) made a cake!

Last Sunday was our roommate, Linday's, birthday! The whole kitche got decorate, and we all loved it so much..we decided to keep them up all year long! Excellent idea! Here I am i the door!
These are just some random pictures from the rest of the night...enjoy!
So i'm not gonna write captions for most of these pictures...but this one deserves the story behind them..At irst glance you might think..hmmm..those are cookies! But alas, be not fooled, because they are actually pancakes! You might be thinkng what!? Pancakes?! on a cookie sheet?! Well, you see, never being one to really fully read directions, and tends to look at the pictures on the back of boxes rather than the words...I thought the box said you were supposed to cook the pancakes in the oven! I saw that it said 375 degrees, and showed something that looked like a cookie sheet...so thats wha i did! Turned out..I was wrong. haha, but beingthe master chef I am, they actually turned out pretty good:-D
