Last Friday was my first ward activity! Originally I wasn't going to be able to go, because my choir class was having a retreat that was right in the middle of it, but that got switched to this week (yay), so I was able to go. It was a really fun activity though. We had a talent show, which is a typical sounding activity, haha, but all the acts were really good! I was actually somewhat disappointed that there weren't any American Idolesque performances..But oh well!!
Some of the girls in my FHE group put together a little skit, where they dressed up as guys and tried out their "best" pick up lines on someone from the audience. It was actually really entertaining!
Some of the girls in the ward did this funny performance of the song "I'll Make a Man out of You" from Mulan...It was pretty humorous!
My lovely roommate Shalece has an excellent voice! She sang the funniest song called 15 pounds. She pretty much rocked it up!!
Everybody likes a good quartet right? Well, there were four boys in my ward that put together a little group and sang White Christmas. By far my FAVORITE performance of the night! Two of the guys actually had okay voices..but one of the guys..totally tone deaf, and he knew it! I was cracking up, as was the rest of the crowd. I decided that I'd humor you all, and post it on here. Unfortunately, I couldn't get it to work. If I'm ever with any of you though, I'll be sure to have you watch it!
There were a lot of really great acts during the night, and the last act was my Bishop singing "Home, Home on the Range." He's not exactly the next American Idol, but it was fun :) I definitely have a very talented ward though! I'm sure we'll be having another talent show sometime!
