Ah yes, well yesterday was Sunday. As i'm guessing most of you know. Sacrament meeting was super exciting. It was all about Missionary Work, yay! The missionaries spoke, and this one woman, Sister Gasparinni, boy she was intense! It was a good talk though. Then some other people spoke, and it was exciting. Our Bishop then announced that our ward is having a 90 day fast. Yes, you read that right...our ward will be fasting for 90 days. He compared it to weight watchers. Okay, so maybe we're not ALL fasting for 90 days...each family is supposed to sign up for a day to fast for missionary opprotunities. lol, I think its a pretty good idea, but boy when he first announced it, you could see some worried faces throughout the chapel. I suggested to my parents we choose August 3rd...any guesses why? he he. Well, sunday school also was on missionary work. I'm sensing a trend. My teacher is like the coolest sunday school teacher ever, i just love his lessons. And i'm totally his favorite, I'm sure. He always brings food as well, which I'm sure attracts several people. haha. Young women's was quite uneventful, except for one of the Laurel advisors cell phones went off while they were setting apart a new laurel class presidency he he. After church, I went home, only to leave to go to the Singles Ward an hour later. Which i went to because I'm super righteous and just love 6 hours of Church! he he, just kidding :-) My friend Chrissie had been asking me to go with her for the past few weeks, so I finally gave in and went. I went with her and her brother who just got home from a mission. I actually kind of enjoyed going, but I now understand why members of the Church want to get married so fast...the singles ward couldn't be that amazing for much longer than a year. haha. We went to Gospel Principles, or something like that, and our lesson was on...the Sabbath! yay! It was interesting...I liked relief society! I met some really nice people. They made me introduce myself, and when I did, a few people were like "OH is your sister Kristalyn?!". Apparently Kristalyn was quite popular back in her single days. There was this guy that was in the bishopric or something that knew my dad, and when i introduced myself he was like "are you one of THE barkers". I always knew we were famous. Kind of like the Osmonds. He wanted to transfer my records right then, but I had to decline because I'm leaving for BYU soon anyways. haha. That was my sunday though. Well, the Church part anyways. Me and Michael went on our daily walk around the lake, and I'm sure some people thought we were kind of weird cuz we weres till in our Church clothes, but oh well. At dinner I was telling my dad about what qualities I wanted in my future husband, and he informed me that I appear to be as picky with those qualities as I am with choosing a summer job, I will end up with the same result. Which, since I don't have a job, implied I would never get married. How rude! Just because I don't want my husband to be shorter than me, and that it would be nice if he had blue eyes, does not mean I'm picky! Anyways, then I went to bed. Oh, and my laptop started working again. yay! Today wasn't too exciting. Actually, it was kind of painful. After running for like 10 minutes, I came home, made a dessert for dinner (the missionaries were coming over. I had to show off my culinary skills of course), and then went to the Lake. Then came the painful part. I finally got the last of my dental work done. Just to warn you all, its not a good idea to wait three years to get a cavity filled...It's been the source of all my woe the past like...3 1/2 years, when I first had to get a root canal on that tooth. This was hopefully the last time I had to go in to deal with that tooth. I am proud to say that when I went in for a cleaning last week, my dentist said that my teeth were wodnerful, no plaque at all. Maybe thats cuz i brush my teeth like four times a day...hmmm. Well, the numbness wore off around dinner, and we had a splendid dinner with the missionaries. I liked one of them a lot more this time than I did last time, cuz he actually talked and was funny! Missionaries are so great. Oh yes, so yesterday when I blog stalking (you know you do it too), i came across this HILARIOUS site, which is pretty much someone making fun of Mormon bloggers..well wives that blog ;-) It's pretty hilarious, and I found myself reading all the posts last night. I thought I would share it with all of you here. I think my favorite part is the person bragging about their super hot husband, and how they feel bad her friends don't have a husband as great as her..haha. Anyways, the link is Seriously, So Blessed . This is definitely going on my blog list.
Anyways, we're going to the Emma Smith movie now..it's showing here for like 2 weeks. I'm excited. Gosh, I can't believe I didn't have any pictures to post with this!

I liked reading this post, especially about the part that not only is the Barker family famous, but me especially. Haha I wouldn't think that there was anyone left in the single's ward that remembered me. I think you'll like BYU wards better, I LOVED mine so much I didn't get married all 4 years that i was in them...
How was the Emma movie?
Katie, I have to admit some of your comments made me laugh out loud. And I guess I agree with you on not wanting a husband who is shorter than you--but if Cupid's arrow strikes, well you just never know!
You're so funny =) I had a blast today. Thanks for coming! Thanks also for helping me with the video =)
