Tuesday was my first day of school. Luckily, I only had two classes, and the earliest one started at...2PM! Wonderful, right? I basically sat around the apartment and did nothing worth noting until about one o clock, when I decided to go to the Wilk and see if the manual for my Book of Mormon class had come in..Guess what? It didn't. So I walked around the Wilk for awhile, until about 1:30 when I decided to look for my first class. It's a good thing I left early, because I got lost! I guess I was holding the map the wrong way or something, because I definitely ended up on the complete opposite side of campus I was looking for. I looked like a typical freshman walking around with their nose in the map...haha, but what can I say, this campus is much huger than any school I've been too! Anyways, I eventually made it to my first class, which was Book of Mormon. I think I'll really enjoy the class. The teacher seems to be quite knowledgable, and he appears to be a very fair teacher. It was funny though, for about 1/3 of the class, he thought he was teaching the RM Book of Mormon class...he kept making references to the missions we had been on, and everyone just looked around scared, thinking they had signed up for the wrong class. Finally, I raised my hand and was like "I"m pretty sure none of us in here are Returned Missionaries...", andhe look all shocked, and everyone started laughing..haha. It was funny. After BoM class, I went over to Dance Aerobic. I am SO excited for this class! In addition to the two hour long class periods of working out we have each week, we are required to work out at least 20 minutes a day, 3 other times in the week! That'll be great! The teacher is a recently returned missionary, she served in Brazil, and she seems so nice! I can't wait for this class.
After my classes, I met up with Cortney, and then me, her, an Andrea went to the Creamery to buy stuff for the dinner we were having that night. We had invited some guys over from Kimball Hall to have "breakfast" for dinner! One of the guys, Steve, volunteered to make French Toast! I made my favorite cake in the world, and it turned out to be a success...Here's some pictures!!
This is my kitchen. Isn't it pretty? lol. Don't be deceived, there is not as much cupboard space as there appears. Each room gets one cupboard for their food..haha, me and Andrea's is packed!
Here is my lovey roommate Andrea! She was a good watcher as me and Cortney (well...mainly me, except cortney measuring some water) made a cake!
Last Sunday was our roommate, Linday's, birthday! The whole kitche got decorate, and we all loved it so much..we decided to keep them up all year long! Excellent idea! Here I am i the door!
These are just some random pictures from the rest of the night...enjoy!
So i'm not gonna write captions for most of these pictures...but this one deserves the story behind them..At irst glance you might think..hmmm..those are cookies! But alas, be not fooled, because they are actually pancakes! You might be thinkng what!? Pancakes?! on a cookie sheet?! Well, you see, never being one to really fully read directions, and tends to look at the pictures on the back of boxes rather than the words...I thought the box said you were supposed to cook the pancakes in the oven! I saw that it said 375 degrees, and showed something that looked like a cookie sheet...so thats wha i did! Turned out..I was wrong. haha, but beingthe master chef I am, they actually turned out pretty good:-D
