So, I have issues with impulse buying. I literally have to map out my course in the mall in order to best avoid those conniving, yet oh-so-convincing, kiosks in the middle of the mall that always feel the need to seek me out to buy their products. I mean, it's so hard to resist buying products from those middle-eastern woman selling the products that make your hands super soft and your nails super shiny (because that's really important), or one of those hair straighteners that seem to make my hair smoother than ever before. However, not having very much money, I have found it best just to avoid these situations altogether, because, even if I don't have the money, I always feel super guilty about not buying something, and I think about it for the next few days, and how I should just go back and buy it. Anyways, like I said, I avoid these situations.
Well, back in September, I went to a hair salon at University Mall in Orem. I wanted to get my haircut. Obviously. The woman that cut my hair did an awesome job. I wasn't quite convinced I would be able to recreate the look she did (which, I couldn't), so I asked her for some tips. She suggested I buy a round brush, and some special mousse. It didn't take much convincing. Then she started talking about how I should try a different kind of shampoo that would make my hair significantly smoother and easier to manage. Well, I knew I should have walked away, but I didn't. They were having a sale, and she convinced me to buy 30$ worth of Biolage, shampoo and conditioner. I think I convinced myself that since it was on sale, it was okay. She also told me that the shampoo lasted forever, which I also added into the equation. Now, in the past, when I've bought things on the basis of these things, I have come out very disappointed. However, this time was different.
Enter, Biolage:
I LOVE this shampoo and conditioner. I got the products in the end of September. It is now April. Imagine my surprise that there is still quite a bit left. When I think about it, I would have spent more money on buying my old shampoo overall by this point. Not to mention this stuff makes my hair so soft and shiny! I love it. And like, it's not like I don't shampoo my hair or anything. I do every other day (which isn't gross, it's not healthy to put shampoo in your hair every day). This sounds really vain, I know. But as I was washing my hair tonight, I just had to express my love for Biolage. So, if you've never tried it, I highly recommend it. This is one of those times that my impulsive buying worked out.

do you know if they have special shampoo sets for curly hair? It's hard for me to find one that works really super fantastic.
Thanks for the tip! I've been on the lookout for a new shampoo. My cheap shampoo isn't cutting it anymore.
um hi I LOVE this stuff too! I always get mine at Ulta when they have the buy 2 get 2 free. I buy the big liter ones too so it pretty much lasts me almost 8 or 9 months. It's kind of expensive to buy the 2 huge ones but when I know I'm getting 2 free its even better. I bought mine last year and I'm barely on my second bottles. Best investment ever :)
Katie...you are so funny. I love your writing style. I want to try this!! You should be one of those middle easter ladies who sell stuff, you are good! I am sold!...well you don't have to change your ethnicity I guess... :D
I'm totally going to try out Biolage. I was trying Matrix for awhile, then Joico, then I switched to John Frieda and John Frieda doesn't even compare to Matrix. But I'm so looking forward to trying Biolage :)
I also just wanted to add, I love your blog, it's hilarious.
Hilary--I'm pretty sure they have a kind for curly hair. We can go to the mall and check it out sometime!
And everyone else, don't think, just do. Go and buy it asap!
Katie--glad to see your funny blogs are back! ....just sayin!
Ahhhh Biolage. I LOVE this stuff. And I'm cheap. I got a huge bottle of shampoo on sale at Ulta and it is lasting me months! It makes my hair smell all pretty and feel soft. SO worth the money.
