Dad's Birthday
This last Tuesday was my Dad's 55th Birthday. As a suprise, my mom sent out an email to my dad's friends and family to send in cards and letters/memories of him. We got lots of letters! My sisters Kristalyn and Diana assembled a lot of the book while I was at school, and then me and my mom did some more for the rest of the day. I stayed up til midnight helping my mom but finally went to bed, and then she stayed up til 3AM. Poor Mom! Anyways, it turned out really great nad my dad was so suprised!! Everyone (except for Cindy and AJ and Daniel and David=[ who we missed!) came over for presents and dinner, as well as Grandpa Barker and Emmy. It was a fun night. Here's some pictures from the night :-)
Reading the card Grandpa Barker gave him =]
Dad always likes getting flashlights and tools!
Lexi was really sad that Grandpa got enchanted for his birthday. She wanted it!
Opening the Book! (with the help of all the grandkids!)
The little boys got a little bored, so they decided to play a game..jumping over hte couch!

Thanks for this post! It made me want to cry because I know how hard everyone worked on the book and how happy it made Dad! And I was sad i was not there :( everyone but us :( I loved all the pics of the night, it looks like you documented it very well! Miss you!
I love all the pictures! Some of my favorite were, Alexis frowing about the Enchanted movie, and Dad opening his card from Grandpa. (that was so cute!). Some of the ones I didn't like were...all of them with me in it! Blah! But I did kind of chuckle at the one of me video taping, because it looks like I am cuddling that little kitten! haha. I am glad you got so many great picture!
When I looked at it again tonight, the pictures of the little boys were there, I know they definitely weren't there the first time, though! Haha how weird. Thanks for taking so many pictures, and I have to say that I am going to be avoiding the camera from now until a month after the baby is born!
Where do those little boys come up with their ideas? And how do they communicate to each other what they are going to do??! Maybe they have some kind of weird twin/cousin thing going on!
gotta agree with diana - that frowning pic was muy cute!
but seriously, how does your family know how to give all these great and personaly gifts?? everything i hear from you is just over-the-top - just like this whole book thing!
